Luverne Truck Equipment, Inc. has manufactured quality automobile and truck accessories since it began operations in 1963. The Company is located in Brandon, South Dakota, near Sioux Falls, where it occupies three buildings totaling 206,000 square feet of manufacturing and administrative space on its eight acre campus.
The Company has three principal businesses. Its brand names, Luverne, Retrac and APM Automotive, are nationally-known and respected. Luverne’s truck equipment product line offers a broad base of upscale aftermarket accessories for pickups, vans and SUVs. Its primary products are made from high quality stainless steel, anodized aluminum and powder coated mild steel. The Company’s products include rear bumpers, grille guards, nerf bars, side entry steps, splash guards, bed rails, grille inserts, MegaStep®, MegaGuard®, O-MegaStep®, GripStep®, StepUp®, RampIt®, cab guards, Defender Series® front-end replacements, and other similar products for most full-size pickups, vans and sport utility vehicles, and BIG RIG®, ProTec®, and Tuff Guard® grille guards for semi-tractors. Luverne is the only manufacturer of these types of products that produces all of its products in the United States.
The Company’s RETRAC Division manufactures exterior mounted mirrors for truck OEMs and the aftermarket, for light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, busses, vans, pickups and specialized truck vehicles, including the military.
The Company’s newest business, APM Automotive, manufactures ram air hoods and spoilers made of blow molded plastic (ABS) and fiberglass..
